Everyone’s eyes were on me. Their faces expressionless, their eyes judgemental. My cheeks were burning. The sweat was trickling down my back. My body was visibly shaking.

I started to speak.

My voice was trembl

For years I felt insecure about my body, kept quiet in my relationships, and dreaded any form of public speaking.

I was afraid to take up space, to rock the boat, to risk people being mad at me.
